Rain, Heat, and Wind are the main characters in the desert drama. And any grand plan you may have must give precedence to the elements.

My first year, the heat was the main character. Last year, the cold nights had center stage. This year it was wind: Lashing, sand-filled, 70 mph wind that reminded you, without a doubt, that Mother Nature is in charge.

I wonder how many cool costumes went unworn this year? I wonder how many plans were compromised due to the crazy weather conditions?
